We invite students to apply for one of our many annual scholarships used to highlight and celebrate our students at Southwestern College. If you or your loved ones have benefitted from the College, consider donating to our scholarship fund. Our scholarships are awarded during our annual Cesar Chavez Breakfast and Scholarships event.

We are proud to host a series of platicas and guest lectures for the benefit of the entire community college. Our biggest and longest running event is César E. Chávez Scholarship Breakfast held every March where we award over $6,000 in scholarships to outstanding students at Southwestern Community College.

We affect change through the participation of members. Since our genesis, we continue to be a forum for the discussion of issues affecting Chicano/Latino staff, faculty, and students at Southwestern College. We invite you to be part of positive change by joining the Chicano Latino Coalition as a member.

We seek to create brave spaces and courageous conversations to support the academic and occupational success of Chicano/Latino students, staff, faculty, and the community of the Southwestern Community College District. These efforts are influenced by our members and student needs for cultural and academic success.
